Golf is the centerpiece of Berkeley Hall. Its two Tom Fazio-designed courses are true "core" golf: the fairways wind through the heart of the property without interior streets or homes interrupting the round, so members enjoy a pure, natural golf experience. Links Magazine and Travel + Leisure Golf have recognized Berkeley Hall among the world's finest clubs and communities, and the club hosts The Players Amateur.
The 30-acre Golf Learning Center is one of the finest practice facilities in the region, with four climate-controlled hitting bays, a mobile canopy for practice in any weather, and a Super Bay with video cameras and flat-screen displays for instruction. A golf academy, practice facilities and a full calendar of member events round out the program.
Berkeley Hall balances an active private club with a peaceful, low-density setting along the Okatie River, where fairways, lagoons and a nature preserve shape the landscape.
The 35,000-square-foot Jeffersonian-style clubhouse anchors the Golf Learning Center and serves as the community's social center, with dining and member events throughout the year.
The full-service spa and fitness center offers sports medicine and fitness training, an indoor pool and whirlpool, steam rooms and saunas, a coffee and juice bar, and classes such as Pilates, yoga and aerobics. Racquet sports, basketball and sand volleyball round out the active amenities.
Berkeley Hall's River Park on the Okatie River offers more than a mile of riverfront recreation and a community fishing dock, connected to more than 10 miles of greenway trails. Kayaking, fishing, crabbing, hiking, bird watching and cycling are all part of everyday life here.
Berkeley Hall offers three types of homes. Lifestyle Homes are townhomes designed for easy, lock-and-leave living: exterior maintenance, landscaping, gutter cleaning, power washing and trash pickup are all included through their own association. Golf Cottages are another lower-maintenance option, with landscaping maintenance and trash pickup covered by a monthly fee. Together these homes make up the lower end of the price range, starting around $825,000. Single-family homes range from Charleston-style cottages, the community's signature style, to spacious estates with lagoon, river or golf course views, and some include private boat docks with direct deepwater access. New homes continue to be built by the club's custom home builders, and homesites are available for buyers who want to build.
